The company was founded in 1949 in a small village in the mountain community of
Gran Sasso at 415 meters above sea level, Gran Sasso Island of Italy.
Thanks to the altitude limit in which the “Gran Sasso” oil is produced and the microclimate
due to the proximity to the mountain peaks, which are responsible for harsh winters
and strong day-night temperature variations during the summer period, the drupes
are naturally protected from parasites and pathogenic attacks without the use
of chemical fungicides, to the benefit of the quality of the final product
