In the heart of the Majella National Park, in the historic center of one of Italy's most beautiful villages, lies Nonna Maria's house, a place for us, her now-adult grandchildren, filled with memories of long vacations spent surrounded by nature, freedom, and fun. It was here that we arrived from our hometowns. Just a short time to hug Grandma, throw down our bags, and draw lots to see who would occupy the beds in the children's room, then everyone off for an ice cream in Fontegrande, a run in Pisciarello Park, and off to the Orfento Valley or to play soccer in the square.
